GETTING TO HISTORIC
ELLIJAY, GA

FROM ATLANTA

  • Start in Atlanta by getting on I-75/I-85 North from downtown Atlanta.

  • Merge onto I-75/I-85 North, following signs for Chattanooga/Greenville.

  • Keep left to stay on I-75/I-85 North, continuing to follow signs for I-75 North/Marietta/Chattanooga.

  • Take the exit for I-575 North and merge onto I-575 North toward Canton.

  • Continue on I-575 North; this highway will eventually become GA-515 North.

  • Stay on GA-515 North, which will take you through the scenic North Georgia mountains, passing through Jasper and continuing to follow signs for Ellijay.

  • As you approach Ellijay, follow the signs directing you into the downtown area.

  • Estimated Travel Time: About 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

FROM NASHVILLE

  • Start in Nashville by getting on I-24 East from downtown Nashville.

  • Follow I-24 East out of Nashville, heading toward Chattanooga.

  • Just before reaching Chattanooga, take the exit onto I-75 South toward Atlanta.

  • Continue on I-75 South as you cross into Georgia.

  • Take the exit for GA-136 East toward Resaca. Follow GA-136 East until you reach the junction with GA-515/US-76.

  • Turn onto GA-515/US-76 East and follow it into Ellijay.

  • As you approach Ellijay, follow the signs directing you into the downtown area.

  • **Estimated Travel Time:** About 3 hours and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

FROM CHATTANOOGA

  • Start in Chattanooga by getting on I-75 South toward Atlanta.

  • Continue on I-75 South as you cross into Georgia.

  • Take the exit for GA-136 East toward Resaca. Follow GA-136 East until you reach the junction with GA-515/US-76.

  • Turn onto GA-515/US-76 East and continue driving toward Ellijay.

  • As you approach Ellijay, follow the signs directing you into the downtown area.

  • Estimated Travel Time: About 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
